Privacy Statement

This policy applies to Terrapane Corporation and its wholly owned subsidiary Terrapane Group, Inc., collectively referred to as Terrapane.

Terrapane values the privacy of its visitors and customers. We do not sell or share any personal information with third parties, except as be required by law. We do utilize various third party services as outlined below in connection with products, services, sales, and websites. We will explain such usage in the following paragraphs.

Metrics are recorded, such as the number of visitors, number of software downloads, etc. Web server software we use logs the IP address of visitors (as is typical for nearly every website on the Internet), though web server logs are not stored permanently. Web server logs are generally retained for about 30 days.

Software download information is retained indefinitely and is used solely for internal purposes so we can monitor download trends. We do sometimes publish information such as download counts, including counts by country. Any such use of data will be in aggregate and never contain personal information.

We use Packetizer Forums for public discussion on our software products. If you register for an account, your email address, registration IP address, and other information you provide as a part of your profile is retained indefinitely by Packetizer. The software Packetizer uses publishes the profile data you provide, except for your email address. The email address is used for registration verification only and for contacting you should it be necessary.

We also use mailing lists hosted by Packetizer for public discussion. If you subscribe to a list, your email address is stored by Packetizer for the purpose of allowing you to participate in email discussions (i.e., receive emails and to send messages to the lists). Your email address is never shared with third parties nor used for any purpose except to facilitate mailing list discussion. Note that sending messages to a public list may expose your email address to other users on the mailing list.

Some of Terrapane's web properties serve advertisements that contain content that is generated by advertising agencies (e.g., Google). In some cases, those advertisements might utilize "cookies" to serve ads based on a user's browsing patterns and/or interests. For Google ads, users may opt-out of such "interest-based" advertising.

Terrapane may use one or more payment processors to process payments for software and services. Data you provide to those payment processors may be retained and used by those payment processors according to their policies or as required by law. Terrapane will receive purchaser information, including name, address, and email address that we retain for internal use (e.g., issuing license keys and verifying purchases). Credit card or financial information provided by you via our websites is neither received nor retained by Terrapane. If purchases are made via phone, credit/debit card information is entered directly into the payment processing system and never retained by Terrapane.
